The Oregon and Southwest Washington Chapter of the Association for Death Education and Counseling is a non-profit organization that exists to promote quality death education and counseling throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. The membership is made up of counselors, educators, nurses, physicians, hospital, nursing home and hospice personnel, social workers, philosophers, physical and recreational therapists, health specialists, volunteers and lay persons who are committed to:

• Improve the quality of death and death-related education.
• Promote the interchange and development of related theory, research and clinical practices.
• Provide support, stimulation and encouragement to the membership and others in the field.
• Conduct death education and death-related counseling forums.
• Assist in information and referral resources.
